In 1996, SCOR acquired Allstate Group's reinsurance portfolio in the United States. In 2007, SCOR wins numerous awards, including the "General Reinsurer of the Year" award in Asia and three prestigious awards in life and health reinsurance in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Today, the company claims a net income of about $450 million EUR.

In 2008, the four major insurance ratings agencies upgraded SCOR's rating to the "A" range in the insurer financial debt category. This means that Fitch's, Standard and Poor's, Moody's and A.M. Best all believe that the company has a stable or positive financial future.
