"Universal Life - A BIG PROBLEM"
In 1989 we bought a Universal Whole Life variable rate policy with a guaranteed rate of 4%. It was touted to us as an alternative to the fact that we had no retirement plan and this would grow and grow and give us lots of money to retire on. Last year we were told that even though our policy was supposed to go until we were 79 years of age, my husband's would now end at 52. He will be 52 this year. So we decided to change to a term policy figuring we could convert this one. They required all new tests and told my husband he was a smoker - he is not. Our agent has continually lied to us about how to fix this problem, even telling me they could not accept this as a mistake even though another test proved it was and came back negative. There is a cash value of $3,000. How the heck were we going to retire on that. The explanation from our agent is that the interest rates were not as good as they expected. So all of our money is gone. I Am MAD! I would advise anyone looking into this kind of of insurance, to go with term. Otherwise they are taking your money.

"Moder Woodmen Life Insurance is tops in my book."
Our family has been with the Modern Woodmen family for going on two decades. Life Insurance is one of those things that no one wants to deal with but when the time comes and you really need it you are so glad to have it. In 2003 we lost our 16 year old nephew to a DUI accident, and we had to use that policy that had covered him since birth. Not having to worry about where the money to pay his final expenses was going to come from was a small miracle. We were able to give him the service he deserved. You never want that day to come that you have to use it but knowing it is there just in case is so worth it. This Christmas December 10, 2010 I lost my beloved grandmother, DUI accident again, We gave her the most beautiful service you could ever imagine. Our agent cried with us during these times, they become a part of your family, like an aunt you dont see very much, buteverytime there is a new baby or a funeral they are always there for you.

"Good Woodsmen"
I have to review one of the best life insurance companies I have found in Utah. The company is called Modern Woodmen of America. I found out about the company through a friend of mine at work. I found a office and went in to get my insurance. I bought a 50,000 coverage for about 50 dollars for 3 months. It takes about 2 years to fully kick in but I'm in good health. There was a small issue with the policy but it was fixed very quickly, they left out a service I wanted. They didn't even charge me more for it later on. I have had this service for about a year and a half with no issues. I would tell anyone I know and people who read this review, get this insurance. If you want to get away from the failing companies, the woodmen have been around since 1883.
